Principal’s Message

Thank you for visiting the El Rancho Charter School Webpage.  Our school is led by Principal of Academics, Mrs. Michele Walker and Principal of Business and Operations, Mr. John Besta.  Together, the two of us have spent more than two decades as administrators at El Rancho.  We believe that Anaheim Hills is a terrific community with great families that support their schools.

El Rancho converted to a charter school in 2002.Our school is funded by the State just like other public schools and we do not charge tuition.  Our staff is committed to supporting our students in attaining high levels of achievement in a comprehensive curriculum.  We are pleased to offer many programs not offered by other middle schools including percussion, musical theatre, guitar, Mandarin, I-film and dance.  We are also very active in academic competitions.  El Rancho annually performs very well in the County Academic Pentathlon competition and has been nationally ranked in the Science Olympiad for more than ten years.

El Rancho students consistently have the highest standardized test scores of any middle school in our area. Our students work hard to become successful citizens and the entire El Rancho community is committed to maximizing their learning and personal responsibility.
