The 2011/2012 school year brings my tenth anniversary of working in education and my fifth year at El Rancho.  In addition to my Bachelor’s degree and teaching credential in English Language Arts, I also hold a Masters of Arts in Cross-Cultural Education and a Masters of Science in Leadership.  Prior to entering education, I worked as a Project Manager for a General Contractor where my main clients were Disney, Southern California Edison, and Jet Propulsion Laboratories/NASA.  Although I originally intended to teach at the high school level, my student teaching (and first teaching assignment) was at a middle school and I was hooked.  When I was offered a one-year position at a high school as a Curriculum Developer I jumped at the chance.  Although I had a great time working with high school students I came back to the middle school level when I was offered a teaching position at El Rancho.  After two years of teaching I then joined that Management Team.  El Rancho is the most nurturing and challenging school environment I have worked in and I truly feel we not only expect but consistently see the best in our kids on a daily basis!
