Bio: I graduated from Cal Lutheran University and then attended UCI and APU for my post graduate work and master's degree. My undergraduate degree was in physical education and a minor in biology. I have been at El Rancho for most of my career, beginning in 1976. I have taught long enough here in the canyon to have had many of my present student's parents. My husband taught mathematics at El Modena before becoming an engineer. We have two girls. Both girls went to El Rancho and CHS and competed in sports including cross country, track, soccer, and basketball. They both graduated from the Air Force Academy; Kristen is a pilot and Kari is in medicine and married to a pilot. I am passionate about the curriculum I teach. My job is to make learning exciting and challenging for all my students. I love to coach sports, especially track, and also coach the science olympiad team. Outside of school, our family is very active in our church, Messiah Lutheran . My hobbies include anything patriotic, running and lifting weights, music, reading, and an all sports fan. I am an avid water and snow skier.
