Bio: My name is Gary Kilgore and I teach 7th & 8th grade Physical Education. I am starting my third year at El Rancho and I always look forward to working with all of the new and returning students. I love teaching Physical Education and I try to make everything I teach relevant, fun and meaningful to my students. In addition to teaching, I coach after school sports and coach the El Rancho Golf Team.

When not teaching I spend most of my time with my family. My wife and I are expecting our second daughter in November, 2011. I enjoy working out, mountain biking, golfing and reading.

Education:
BS Liberal Studies- Regents College
MA Coaching and Athletic Administration- Concordia University
Single Subject Teaching Credential, Physical Education- Point Loma Nazarene University
Preliminary Administrative Services Credential- University of California, Irvine

I love teaching Physical Education. I believe in trying to make everything I teach relevant to my students. I want my students to know the importance of taking care of their bodies and to realize there is a lot of ways to do it. Just find something you enjoy and stick with it. Fitness is a lifelong goal, not a grade in P.E.

There is a lot to like about El Rancho. I have taught at three schools in 2-1/2 years. These schools have run the socio-economic gamut, from rural San Diego County, to inner-city Los Angeles, to Anaheim hills, but the staff at El Rancho is the most organized and dedicated staff I have worked with.
