Bio: I am a 40 year-old working mother of two. I have a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Fullerton and a Master of Science degree from Golden Gate University. My full time career is that of a middle school classroom teacher in the Science Department. In addition, I am a faculty member at University of Phoenix, teaching in the Education Department.
My children, a boy and girl, are 14 and 11 years-old, respectively. I have been teaching for six years. Prior to that, I worked as an electrical engineer for AT&T. Yes, I am what is known as a 'career switcher'. Thankfully, about eight years ago, I had a calling to take my career on another path. My love of children, as well as my passion for learning led me to the teaching profession. While working full-time at AT&T, I obtained a California Teaching Credential. Upon finishing the credential program, I went right to work in a classroom and have never looked back! I absolutely LOVE what I do
In my leisure time, which is not much, I can often be found running the streets of Anaheim Hills, volunteering in community activities or getting a workout at the local gym. As most Southern Californians, my children and I also truly enjoy the beach. I plan on spending as much time as possible on the sands of the Pacific Coast.
I am truly blessed to have two healthy, wonderful children while working in a profession that I love. Here's to a successful school year!
